The company Backhausen interior textiles GmbH is one of the Cradle to Cradle^® frontrunners dealing with fabrics and textiles. Together with EPEA, Backhausen generated the fabric called "Returnity^® - The fabric of many lives".

Returnity^® is a revolutionary, eco-friendly fabric nutrient for the technical metabolism of Cradle to Cradle^®. This special fabric is to be 'returned' after a defined use period. It consists of the fibre Trevira CS: a flame-retardant actually safe for human contact and has the versatility for weaving diverse patterns.

Returnity^® was approved by the EPEA with the Cradle to Cradle^® Gold Certificate.
