“Cradle to Cradle®-FESTIVAL 2012” opens to resounding success at the Floriade 2012 World Horticulture Expo in Venlo, Netherlands and gears up for Partner Days
It has been a month since the official opening of the Floriade 2012 World Horticulture Expo in Venlo, Netherlands. The “Cradle to Cradle®-FESTIVAL 2012” exhibit has been positively received with hundreds of people streaming daily through the doors to experience the living environments, where each area of the exhibit highlights Cradle to Cradle® certified products that can be found in the various rooms of a house. Each space highlights EPEA International’s partners. These companies have dedicated themselves to applying Cradle to Cradle® principles and design to their products, and are therefore being celebrated at our “Cradle to Cradle®-FESTIVAL 2012”.
All the products being exhibited are Cradle to Cradle® certified, and include products from Desso®, Aveda™, Vanderlande Industries, Royal Mosa, Trigema®, Stabilo®, Jules Clarysse, and Royal Auping among others. Other partners are not only part of the “Cradle to Cradle®-FESTIVAL 2012”, but are incorporated into the Floriade itself! Van Houtum for example, is providing the whole range of their Cradle to Cradle® certified bathroom products to all public restrooms at the Floriade.
While Steinzeug Keramo B.V. has provided their Cradle to Cradle® certified clay pipes for the sewer system at Floriade. Van Gansewinkel Groep meanwhile is taking care of all the nutrient (or “waste”) management for the Floriade.
Now, with the firm establishment of the “Cradle to Cradle®-FESTIVAL 2012” EPEA will be hosting companies from around the world with Partner Days over the coming months. These exclusive events will allow a select number of companies to present themselves to invited guests in order to showcase their products, their innovations, and their Cradle to Cradle® goals and ambitions. The Floriade itself is flourishing, and is a source of inspiration as well as pride for the Cradle to Cradle® supporters. It’s an opportunity for visitors to see and experience the Floriade Venlo principles, which are based on the Cradle to Cradle® principles, applied.

The Cradle to Cradle® - FESTIVAL 2012 at FLORIADE
From the 5th of April through the 7th of October 2012, EPEA Internationale Umweltforschung GmbH and our partners will be celebrating the “Cradle to Cradle® - FESTIVAL 2012” at Floriade, the world’s most famous and largest horticulture show. Visitors will be able to see, experience, and learn about Cradle to Cradle® products through our various living environments. The Floriade takes place in Venlo, the first region in the world to apply the principles and objectives of the Cradle to Cradle® design concept to the future development of the area. The Floriade 2012, with its motto “be part of the theatre of nature – get closer to the quality of life” is a world stage for this.
The “Cradle to Cradle® - FESTIVAL 2012” will elaborate on all things Cradle to Cradle® by offering participants the opportunity to enjoy the “theatre of nature” as well as be inspired by it! The exhibition will provide insight into the vision of Cradle to Cradle® and how our partners from around the world have implemented it into their products and processes set out in themed spaces: ranging from bedroom to office, from bathroom to kitchen.
